Do-Si-Do

You have heard the idiom Time Marches On.  I prefer to think about its passing as time Dancing on.

Life isn’t a goose-stepping, linear parade; it swirls and twirls and glitters.  Sometimes we waltz, sometimes we two-step, but always we move to a rhythm.

We try to synchronize our movements with everyone in the ballroom. Sometimes we bump into each other, or step on other people’s toes. We might get sidelined without a partner, or temporarily lose the beat, but dance we must, so we find our way back in and pick up the tempo.



Many believe that the band is conducted by a deity and that the steps of the Dance are predetermined.  Maybe, but I don’t see it that way.  I believe that collectively, we are the deity. The world and the people in it have a powerful cadence. We determine the rhythm of the Dance.

So, choose a partner. Now allemande left, and …

… Do-Si-Do!
