Relatively Young

Redwood National Park, California

My grandparents drove from Saskatchewan to Redwood National Forest on their honeymoon, 98 years ago.

It is highly unlikely that the tree behind us is the same one Grandpa and Grandma posed beside on their honeymoon a century ago, but it could be.  Redwood trees live for a very long time, over 2000 years in most cases.

One living tree in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is named The President.  It is estimated to be 3200 years old.

Bear and I enjoyed a day roaming among the Redwoods.  They make us feel …

… Relatively Young.
