Fez, Morocco
Call to prayer happened just after we arrived in Fez. I cannot think of a more appropriate welcome to this very old city; Islam is deeply rooted here.

The oldest tannery in the world is in Fez, using techniques that have not changed since the Middle Ages.
Textile producers use the same dyes as the tanners, Indigo (blue), saffron (orange), henna (brown and dark red), olive leaves (green), ochre (red and yellow).
