December 8, 2023 – Kew, Alberta
When I posted this photo and message on Facebook today, I clicked the Google Map icon and “Kew” popped up as my location.
The town of Kew consisted of a post office and store, all in one building located 3 miles northwest of our place. The building has been gone for 60 years but, as far as Google Maps is concerned, Bear and I live at Kew.

Being the only residents of the town, I decided to elect myself Mayor (one vote, one abstention). My first order of business was to give the town a motto and put up a sign ….

I was going to ask the Encyclopaedia of Goodman, what is Kew Garden in the UK? I wonder how/if Kew Alberta relates?
