We planned a road trip to Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon for a few days, but a winter storm warning has been issued for the American northwest. We hadn’t planned on taking the motorcycle anyway, but even in a four-wheeled vehicle it wasn’t going to be much fun, so we decided to postpone.
I am disappointed though, I was really looking forward to visiting Walla Walla, Washington. It has been on the must-visit list for a very long time.
I was introduced to the rhythmic sounding town on the TV in this photo. Walla Walla was featured regularly on Bugs Bunny cartoons.

There is a memorable segment in the skit, A Mouse Divided, where a stray cat disguised as a fast-talking vacuum cleaner salesman, steals a baby mouse. In 1961, this was quality entertainment.
